Dear Ashok,
Long time! Just finished Fortress of Dwarka. Phew! What a pace!
What I liked most about the whole Krishna series is the way you have depicted the divinity as well as mortal pains of Kirshna and Balarama. At the mortal plane they do feel the pain of seperation, physical hurt etc.
I can go on on….but as might remember, being one of the older members [by the reading time and not age:-) of your fan club...all I would say...TREMENDOUS.
Now, the next important point....when is the next book in the Krishna series [after Fortress of Dwarka] available? Can’t wait!!!!
God bless.
Thanks & Regards
Kapil Bhatia
Hi Kapil,
Nice to hear from you again!
Thank you for the kind words about FoD. Glad you liked it so much. Yes, I have worked hard to try and portray their differences, thank you for noticing.
The next two books in the Krishna Coriolis series are a bit delayed in editing and proofing and are now expected to go up on AKB eBOOKS in April and May, one after the other.
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
I have a BIG problem!!! The moment I finish your book, I dont know what to do. So to get relieved myself from the killer wait of Book 6 in Krishna Coriolis series, I thought why not subscribe the MBA series:-).
Did that just now and started FOS. Enjoying the book thouroughly. Wanted to eulogize you and your style but not gonna do now as I feel my words will not be sufficient to express my gratitude for you.
God bless you Ashok…ya are the best thing happened to folks like us…who wanted to satiate our thirst of the treasure of the ancient books/stories we have with rational and different thinking aligning with the times we live in.
You have provided us with just the same. God bless you Ashok.
Thanks & Regards
Kapil Bhatia
Dear Ashok,
I am a big fan your works. I started with the Ramayana series and even though I have already read several versions , your retelling was very interesting. I read Gods of war sometime back and have been eagerly waiting for its sequel. Please tell me it’s name and when it will be released on Akb-ebooks as could not figure out the same from the information on the website.
Also it will be great if you could suggest the order in which the books from different series can be read.
Regards,
Varun
Dear Varun,
Thank you for the kind words.
The sequel to Gods of War is titled Wardogs and it’s been awaiting publication for years, like most of my work. It takes years to find a publisher, years more for them to publish the books since I don’t write to contract. As of now, there is no plan for a print edition but since you’re asking about the AKB eBOOKS edition, it will be up by this year-end most likely. It isn’t mentioned because we don’t want to promise a date and then disappoint people. We actually have a backlog of almost 30 more ebooks to be added to the website this year alone. Yes, all my books!
All series should be read in their own sequence. Once you’ve read all the series from start to finish, and when they’re all available (which will be in another few years) then I’ll suggest various alternate sequence of reading. They’re written in such a way that you can read one series from start to finish. Then later, read Book 1 from Series A, Book 5 from Series D, Book 3 from Series C, and so on, and get a different storyline altogether yet one which makes perfect sense! Crazy, huh?
E.g. You can the RS start to finish, all 8 ebooks. But you can also read Vengeance of Ravana, then Gods of War, Vortal:Shockwave, and continue reading the Gods of War and Vortal books alternately, to get a very different kind of story.
Ashok
Hey Mr. Banker,
Its been awhile… with some 10 books in between, but what can I say… your writing never fails to interest, and considering Flipkart seems to do a bloody awesome job delivering the books on time, the ride just doesn’t stop…
Now, Kamsa effectively is supposed to evil and all… but somewhere down the line, through book 2 and 3 he begins to grow on you and one really is unable to fathom where he goes wrong, but Jarasandha, well that man truly is evil and his descriptions are spine chilling to say the least
When’s the 4th book releasing? And Krishna looks super cute on the cover of both the books… Kudos to whosoever designed the cover, they have truly managed to capture and convey the mischievous innocence of the God child…
Finally, if you have written stuff on Shiva, could you please pass it through… its a curiosity that is refusing to let go…
Anyway keep up the super awesome job…
My Best as always,
Ness
Hey Ness,
Still watching too many ads? ;~) Just kidding. Enjoy!
Thank you for those kind words – the stories are pretty awesome in themselves, and so strong, it makes it easy for me to rock them and do my thing.
And you are so right, terrible as Kamsa is, Jarasandha is his ‘baap’.
The entire series is with the publisher and has been for a while. They hope to release the 4th and 5th book together (as they did with Book 2 and 3) but I don’t have any date yet. The cover ws designed and illustrated by Pinaki De who is brilliant, it’s true. I like them too.
I’ve written a love story based novella on Shiv Parvati. It’s in the publication pipeline too.
Thanks for writing in, for reading, and for appreciating! Happy Reading.
Ashok
Hey Ashok,
Just finished reading Vengeance of Ravana . I do not have bone to pick, I very well know that a certain liberties have been exercised while bring out this incredible re rendering of an epic. I love all your works , else I would not have bought all your works
It may be oversight … here goes…
In VoR when Shiva comes to meet Rama along with Ravana, you mention wrongly ( correct me if I’am wrong) that Jaya & Vijaya will thus be liberated from the curse of Chatursana-The Four Kumaras (ie., live three lives as enemies of Vishnu before being recommissioned as dwarpalas of Vaikunta ) as they were thru with 3 lives as enemies of Vishnu, while Ravana and Kumbarkarna were actually thru with 2 lives
The first life was of Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha in the Satya Yugfollowed by Ravana and Kumbhakarna in the Threta Yug & finally Dantavakra and Shishupala in the Dwapara Yug
Please do not comment if you find my observation feeble.
Awaiting Sons of Sita
Rgs
Sharath
Hey Sharath,
Thank you for your kind words!
Yes, you are quite correct about the order of those three lives of Jay and Vijaya. However, the incident in VoR is being seen through a Vortal and is taking place outside of Time. Hence the events being referred to have already taken place eons ago. It’s not a linear storyline as in the rest of the Ramayana Series.
In fact, VoR is actually a side-step from the RS, bifurcating into another larger story which will be completed in the 4-part Sword of Dharma miniseries which concludes both the RS and the KC (Krishna Coriolis). It is also interlinked with the Vortal Codex series and the Gods of War series.
Sons of Sita (like VoR) was completed in 2004 itself, when I finished the RS, and VoR was belatedly published in 2010, while SoS will not be published in print at all. I have since moved on to HarperCollins for the Krishna Coriolis series and Westland Books for the Mahabharata Series, and so Penguin are no longer publishing my work. SoS is only available as an ebook via http://www.akbebooks.com – if you wish they will be happy to send you a free copy of SoS for your reading pleasure. You can contact them directly.
Best wishes,
Ashok
Dear Mr Banker,
Been an eternity (almost feels like it) that I last visited your website or posted a comment.
Resultantly, I seem to have missed out on ordering the remainder of Krishna Coriolis and Mahabharata e-books
from your website. Can I still do this?
I also noticed a few other offers of Future History books on your e-books site. Can I also order these?
Cheers,
Swapnil
Hi Swapnil,
Long time indeed – nice to hear from you again.
I no longer process or handle orders for AKB eBOOKS. All that goes through the main akbebooks.com website now. Do visit it and feel free to order what you wish.
Ashok
Hi Ashok,
I have the entire Ramayan series which I recently got it locally hardbound (that is how much I value your work).
I took a e-subscription of your MBA series, read two and impatient for more….eagerly awaiting release of book 3 – ‘The Children of Midnight’ (February did you say?)
One question: Why the dollar value? Our bank applies an unfavorable purchase rate and then adds bank charges and service tax for dollar transactions.
Keep writing. You’ve single handedly done more to popularize the epics amongst youngsters today than any other person. If it was in my hands I’d nominate for the Padma Bhushan!!
Regards
Hi Valmiki,
Nice name!
Lol.
The AKB eBOOKS website posts prices in dollars as that’s the most internationally acceptable currency – but once you click through to complete your purchase, you should see the option to change the currency. (I just rechecked it and it’s very much possible to do so.) The only exception would be if you’re logging in from outside India, in which case, it wouldn’t permit you to choose INR – this applies even to proxy servers, which many companies use.
Thank you for your very kind words. Unfortunately, the people who decide to confer such awards would never deign to recognize me no matter how much or how well I write. I guess I’m just not the right caste, religion, and class. But that’s all right: I’m content with readers like yourself appreciating my work and with the pleasure of the work itself.
Ashok
Wow Readerswrite 2012… Time flies doesn’t it? So i just wanted to let you know, i’m currently reading Krishna Coriolis 4. I love this series. That Krishna is something isn’t he… watch out if your making dahi…hehe.
I’m reading these stories for the first time, I’ve never had exposure to these stories although i understand they are an integral part of Indian culture. But what you say in the dedication is very true…these tales are not about being Hindu, or even about being Indian, they’re simply about being.
I enjoy the Kamsa parts as well (although maybe i shouldn’t … but it’s the horror fiction fan in me that takes responsibility for that…haha)… yes he’s a childkiller and a regular jackass, but he also has a surprising innocence and cluelessness which he seems to be conquering fast,
Anyway, just wanted to let you know where i am… a few questions for you….
1. i collect signed books… I have a Stephen King (Geralds Game..yeah i know one of suckier ones but a signed Gunsslinger goes for $1800) and Dean Koontz and many others… if i pay the postage both ways via paypal would you sign my Prince of Ayodhya? I suspect you’ll say no and that’s ok, …worth and ask though
2. did the Vertigo work out? Seemed pretty good to me. The pdf copy i had received had a lot of missing first quotes and other issues but i think it was in about 90 per cent good shape.
Guess thats about it… keep writing… I’ll start mahabharata next.
Regards
jon
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you’re liking Krishna so much. Frankly, I didn’t grow up in a Hindu household so I came to these stories almost as ‘unknowing’ as someone like you would. Hence I tend to see beyond the obvious tropes and classical dogma, to the simple truth within. Stories are about people, even if those people happen to be gods or demons.
I don’t have any issues with the signed books but Indian postal services and even courier services are very unreliable and it’s more likely that your book would be lost or pilfered. I’d advise you to save your money but if you want to risk it, sure, I’ll be happy to do so.
Yes, Vertigo worked out great, thank you! Unfortunately, due to the kerning in the original pdf, many words are ‘run-on’ and that means having to go through every single word and alphabet, which is something only I can do since I’m the only person who knows the manuscript that well. I’m not going to be able to find the time to do that, frankly, so it’s still unusable. Not your fault at all, let me say again: It’s the fault of the original pdf wherein letters had to be kept close together in order to justify, avoid widow words, etc.
Best
Ashok
Mr.Ashok,
I read your ‘Prince of Ayodhya’ and it was very good. You have managed to create a story which exactly tallies with my vision of how life and Dharma would have been in those times. I mean not the sequence of events ( in valmiki’s Ramayana, Ravana appears much later in Aranya Kanda), but you have magically recreated the entire landscape along with the characters as I have imagined it. It was very uncanny. The story of Rama’s Journey is simple as well as complex. Simple because it is linear, and complex as every moment has to be seen through the prism of Dharma.
However, dont you think the character of Ravana was a little too ….? He was the most powerful person of the time, in the Universe , and A brahmin to boot.(He was the great -great-grand son of Brahma himself, well versed in all the 4 Vedas and a staunch devotee of Shiva).
(Like many others I do not know Sanskrit and have not read Valmikis’s Ramayana, but fortunately have heard it in the original by eminent scholars in Temples. This tradition is still alive in Andhra Pradesh, and we do have scholars who can recite the 24,000+ slokas from memory.)
I thank you for telling the tale with a spirit which is very close to the original, and look forward to the rest in the coming months.
Regards
V.V.Ramana Rao
Dear V.V. Ramana Rao,
Thank you for your kind words. You are most generous. I didn’t grow up in the Hindu culture or religion, languages or beliefs, so you could well say that my Ramayana was my first attempt to come to terms with this great culture and ethos. I’m constantly overwhelmed by how many people have responded favorably to my very enthusiastic but workmanlike attempts. You’re too kind.
Ravana’s character is a great one and across the 8 volumes of the Ramayana Series, you will get to know him in all his aspects.
Best wishes
Ashok
I meant please send me the forest of stories too

Hi,
Just saw on FK that FoS is on pre-order. Can I get a signed copy from you? Please… Also I want the Seige of Mithila Graphic edition. Not available on FK. I already have the PoA Graphic and don’t want to break the series…
Let me know asap pls.
Regards,
Jesal
Hi Jesal,
I am unable to offer print editions of my work directly. You are most welcome to order through FK of course.
The graphic novel series has been discontinued as Penguin changed management and publishing policy I am no longer publishing with them. I will possibly continue it through AKB eBOOKS but there will be no print editions of the same in future. My KC series is published by HarperCollins and Mba Series by Westland.
And of course ebook editions are available through AKB eBOOKS at http://www.akbebooks.com – in fact many books that are not yet (or will never be) available in print editions are available there as ebooks.
Best,
Ashok
Sir,
Wish me good luck…I am here for the first time….after reading all the wonderful and convincing comments, placed order for Prince of Ayodhya via Flipkart….wandered a little bit….placed a request via fb for free Forest of Stories (positively hopeful

Hi Anoop – sent! Check your inbox. Happy Reading. :~) Also: do let me know if you get that copy of PoA from FK because I’m told many readers are unable to get copies.

Yes Sir..I will confirm on receipt. Once again thank you for the ebook.

Hi Ashok,
Really enjoyed your Ramayana series so far. Krishna was a tad bit better. Can I request you to send me the e-Book link to Sons of Sita.
Best Wishes,
Sitaram. S
Hi Sitaram,
Thank you for the kind words. The ebook editions of my work are all available on the AKB eBOOKS website. You click on the link below to find SoS (it is currently not available on its own but will be added in a day or two).
http://www.akbebooks.com
Happy Reading!
Ashok
Ashok,
Is there a mailing list that I can subscribe to? I want to know when your paper backs are released.
Also, how can I get my hands on your old books (before Ramayana series). I read your comment somewhere that only your publishers can help. Is that still true?
Dumbs,
Please use your real name and I’ll be happy to reply – you can see the cautions posted above.
Thanks!
Ashok
sorry. I did not notice the notice above.
Hi Anush,
It’s okay, thanks for coming back and using your real name.
Most of my books before the Ramayana Series are all out of print. I am in the process of releasing some of them in ebook editions on akbebooks.com But there are a few that remain unavailable – and of course even my Ramayana Series is now going out of print too. Publishers can help, theoretically, but are more interested in new books, so it wouldn’t be much use contacting them.
Best
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
please send me a free link of your book sons of sita!i have heard from a friend that you are offering free e-books to your fans.i am a great fan of your ramayana series and you have poised the vengeance of ravana book at the precipice.i await for the plunge now through sons of sita.please consider my request!
Dear Mukesh,
Thank you for the kind words. The ebook has been sent to you from AKB eBOOKS. Please check your inbox. Enjoy the ebook – wish you Happy Reading!
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
at the outset i would like to thank you profusely for your prompt response to my request. You and your whole team at AKB eBOOKS are simply amazing and super efficient! I have received the book(in fact you are so generous that you have sent the Vengeance of Ravana e book along with Sons of Sita{which was my original demand as i already have VOR in paperback with me}, but kudos to your speed n generosity)and have started reading it and like the previous seven books of the Ramayana series, Sons of Sita too is very enchanting and as complex as Vengeance of Ravana. Needless to say i am enamoured by it! As a matter of fact i am also enamoured by your interactiveness and your generosity towards your readers. You are a writer par excellence but you are an even better human being which counts more, most of the writers refuse to be so accessible, friendly and generous! May you continue in the same vein and may the almighty bless you with success, peace and prosperity so that you can afford to remain so generous:) I have already bought the 3 paperback editions of the krishna coriolis series n have pre-ordered the forest of stories on flipkart(i belong to the old school who like owning n reading paperbacks). i am not a big fan of online reading or e books but looking at your collection(and how many more volumes you have made available online, my mouth waters at the prospect) n considering the foolhardiness of the publishers, i think i will need to brush up my online reading skills! thanks again for your lovely gesture, you have turned a fan into an acolyte!thank you so much!
Dear Mukesh,
You are extremely kind and generous. Thank you for the very kind words. You would be surprised how many readers will start the same – ask for something – but never bother to come back later and thank me once they’ve got it. Even so, I believe in starting fresh each time and to me, you are not merely a number or a buyer, but a person with whom I share a common love for a certain kind of story. Hence my openness in interaction online (and in person, as you will see when you get a chance to meet me someday) – I am no different from you or anyone else, nobody special, merely a fellow lover of such epics. Ultimately, we both seek to drink from the same glacial spring and it is the grace of the water that enriches us both.
I love print books too – if I had my way, publishers would release the entire series into bookstores at one time. (I only offer for publication once a series is complete.) To their credit, HarperCollins is doing a great job at trying to release all 8 Krishna books at the earliest. And Westland, publishers of my forthcoming Mahabharata Series, are also quite amazing compared to the much slower other publishers.
But in the end, to see my Epic India Library in its entirety, and to have access to the additional material–notes, comments, discussions, even a few videos and audio of me talking and discussing and sharing info–is quite impossible through the medium of print. Hence AKB eBOOKS.
Thank you for your support. It’s great to have yet another fellow fan of our great epics walking with me. Keep walking…We have a very long and wonderful distance to cover and company will only make the journey more pleasant.
Happy Reading!
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
thank you and may we keep walking together, your company in the form of your books is an able ally in a long journey,i hope and pray that your works and you yourself are blessed with longevity and success!what you say about AKB Ebooks is very true but i am glad to hear that your new publishers harper collins and westland are wiser and are publishing your books quickly,it is indeed music to my ears!may our fellowship prosper and grow stronger!three cheers for the epics and your interpretation of these wonderful works! happy writing:)
Dear Mukesh,
We’ve run out reply-links on this thread. You can always post a new comment if you wish to continue commenting or raise a new question or topic. Thank you for your very kind words. Enjoy the ebooks as well as the books. In the end, an author writes the same way, it’s only the delivery system that differs, like a big-screen movie or a DVD version. Either way, so long as you get the book to read, it’s worthwhile.
Ashok
Respected Ashok sir,
I am a 17year old student from Mumbai. I have read all your works, the complete ramayana series, except the Revenge of Ravana. I am currently reading the slayer of kamsa. Apart from writing about god, i consider you to be a god yourself, a god when it comes to writing these epics!. Hats off!! i reallly love mythology. You, Ramesh Menon sir, and Devdut Pattnaik sir, all are doing a realy great job!!!! I aspire to be a writer when i grow up. Mythology would obviously be my genre, and i hope to have you as my mentor! I sent you a request on Facebook, please add me so that i could be in your touch! Thankyou!
Hi Kaartikeya,
Thank you for the kind words! I’m no god, I assure you, just an ordinary mortal who loves writing these stories. Keep reading and I’ll keep writing.
Ashok
PS: My FB Personal Profile page is at its Friends limit. But you can Like my official author page or the AKB eBOOKS page there and connect with me that way if you wish.
Sir,
Forest of stories is cooooooooool!!! Read it a few days ago, within a week of its release. Brilliant skills, compelling narrative, it reads like a thriller! Wish i could write like that! As i said earlier, i also write, and hope to pursue a career in it. Here is the link to a piece i wrote recently! Could you please go through it sir? I put it up on speaking tree. Any response would be highly appreciated
Thanku!!!!!!:-)
PS: i took some things from slayer of kamsa! hope u dont mind!
Sorry Kartik,
You are being banned from the website for copyright theft – you have apparently stolen copyright material from my works and tried to pass it off as your own. That is not cool, and just not done. Apologizing for it after the fact is not an answer either. I am not reporting you this time even though it is a punishable offense under law but clearly, you are confused about what constitutes admiration of an author’s work and what is plagiarism. Please seek help for someone you trust, like an authority figure as you seriously need it. You will not be permitted to post on this website again in future.
Ashok
PS: March 2012: I now see that your response to being caught out seems to be leaving negative reviews of my books (including the one you praised so highly right here) – that is a sad reflection on your (lack of) character.
Hi Ashok,
I went into the AKBeBooks website and logged in with my password but was unable to figure out how to download the books I see. As you know I am one of the first readers and have subscribed and paid for all the series in full but have not received any email updates. Could you please let me know how to download the MBA book3 and Krishna Coriolis book 6 to my Kindle? When I saw the books and clicked on them, it took me to the Amazon Website. What am I missing here?
I must be having a senior moment, so please Help!
Thanks and Regards,
Akiko
Hi Akiko,
Lol. No problem. There is an email address for help (support@akbebooks.com) and instructions on the website! But I’ll try to help.
You need to log into the website and then visit the Subscription link by clicking the top nav-bar menu. The rest is pretty self-explanatory.
Ashok
Hi Ashok. I placed a pre-order for Sons of Sita in Jan 2010 and have been checking your website for updates related to the book’s release. Since I placed the pre-order, my address has changed. Let me know if the SoS book has been released and sent already in which case it probably went to my old address. Let me know if there is any way the address can be changed now. Thanks.
Hi Vinay,
There have been several updates sent by email (as well as listed on this website before the present renovation) informing those who pre-ordered that Sons of Sita was cancelled permanently and would not be issued in print at all. In late 2010, I offered those who wanted to trade in their payment for SoS for two copies each of Slayer of Kamsa: Book 1 of the Krishna Coriolis. Most readers opted for the trade in, a few took refunds. I guess the emails sent to you must have been caught in your spam filter.
In any case, no worries about old address or new address. AKB Books is now AKB eBOOKS, India’s first ebook publisher, ebookstore, and first bestselling Indian ebooks! You can find Sons of Sita as well as several other ebooks available there at http://www.akbebooks.com
Ashok
Thanks for the update, Ashok.
Please let me know if the SoS ebook can be bought now using the earlier payment.
Hi Vinay,
Yes, of course it can be. Could you let me know whether you had paid for the paperback of hardcover edition and how many copies? Thanks.
Best
Ashok
Hi Ashok,
I paid INR 400 (think it is for the paperback version).
Let me know the next steps. Thanks.
Vinay
Hi Vinay,
Understood. Someone from AKB eBOOKS will be emailing you in a few minutes. Happy Reading!
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
Waiting for the books and the newsletter. You have any good news for this weekend…..!!!!!
Thanks
Sreenath
Fortress of Dwarka is online! Howzzat for news? The newsletter will go out tomorrow most likely.
Ashok
Hey Ashok,
A friend , Raj told me how good writer you were , and I had re-fired my reading habits , I went to bookstore to start with ” Prince of Ayodhya”, and landed with 3 parts of Krishna Coriolis . when will you be releasing the Part 4 of Krishna Coriolis series, will it be more than 4 parts . waiting to read the 4th Part. Pls give me a date NOW
Hey Sharath,
Thank you for your kind words! And thank your friend Raj on my behalf too.
The KC Series is in 8 books, all of which were written years ago and submitted to the publisher – I only offer a series for publication once it’s complete so that readers don’t have to wait. As of now, I can’t say exactly when the publisher will bring out the remaining 5 books but they have promised to do so very quickly, definitely over 2012-2013. (Authors don’t get to decide publication schedules: only publishers do.)
I also have my own ebookstore where the first 5 ebooks of KC Series are already available, the 6th goes online next week and the 7th and 8th are coming up within the next few months. AKB eBOOKS was started for readers who don’t wish to wait years (or decades) for my work.
And just so you know, the Ramayana Series is better than the KC Series (IMHO), and the Mba Series is better than them both combined. Just saying.
Do visit: http://www.akbebooks.com
Ashok
Dear Ashok,
Request indulgence please,
The Names of Ramayana- #7 and above
The Names of MBA #5 and above
The Names of KC # 4 and above
Since you are a writer, I just wanted you to know that the romance get holding a book , putting in that bookmark, loosing the bookmark starting to read from previous chapter , these hings will be missed in the future when E reader WILL get popular. Just an opinion.
I will try to buy the physical copies for posterity.
Dear Sharath,
Of course, you are most welcome to wait for the physical copies to be published – it takes anywhere from 5 to 12 years for my books to come into print editions once they’re written, often longer. I’m sure many readers would still want to wait and that’s a perfectly valid choice.
The ebooks are not meant to replace the physical books, they are an alternate means of reading them sooner, that’s all. For instance, readers who are reading my Mahabharata Series will be able to get all 18 ebooks within the next two years – those who wait for the print editions will have to wait at least another 10 years, and that is if all the 18 books are published in print.
The 8th book of Ramayana is titled Sons of Sita – that book and the Sword of Dharma miniseries which follows the Ramayana Series are not being published by the publisher in print editions. In fact, the entire Ramayana Series is being put out of print soon and you will be lucky if you get copies at all. As I said, that is not by my choice, it is entirely in the publisher’s hands. However, the ebook editions remain available now and forever.
The titles of the ebook editions are on the AKB eBOOKS website. The titles of the print editions will only be known for certain once they are published. In the case of the books you are asking about, you would have to wait to see the final titles once the books come out.
Remember that once upon a time, our great epics were all recited and passed on orally. There were no printed books, only Sanskrit shlokas recited in binary. That same binary code is used in computers today to store digital memory – and create ebooks. Printed books are a western invention and only one form of communication. Ultimately, it is the content that survives, regardless of the form. Just like the great shloka in the Bhagwad Gita about the soul which survives the body. Keep that in mind.
All the best.
Ashok
Hi Ashok,
Greetings for the new year. Have been a big fan of your books for years now. Always bought the print editions. Have the entire Ramayana series in hard copy. Would love to buy the KC and the Mba series. Can you please educate me on the process of buying your books through this site? Want to get my hands on ebooks first while i wait to collect all the print ones.
Keep writing. And may Ganesha guide your sea of words.
best,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
Thank you for the very kind words. A very wonderful 2012 to you as well.
When you say “the entire Ramayana Series” I guess you mean the first six or perhaps the first seven books at most, because the eighth and final book, Sons of Sita, was not released by the print publishers. It is however available solely as an ebook, included as part of the omnibus titled KING OF DHARMA which contains the 7th and 8th ebooks together.
To purchase that and all other ebooks by me, please visit the ebookstore http://www.akbebooks.com and make your purchases. Thanks again and keep reading!

Hi Ashok,
Wish you a very happy new year.
When will the next books in the KC/Mba series be available for download? Its been a long time since a new book was released
Cheers,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
Thank you! A very happy new year to you as well.
The technical hitches have been sorted out, the new people in charge at AKB eBOOKS have almost completed their training and are now ready to start adding new ebooks to the website. Finally, my backlog of almost 22 ebooks can be released in quick succession (about one new ebook each week for at least the next five to six months, thereafter at least 2 new ebooks a month). A number of these will be free ebooks to subscribers in various series – they will show up on your subscribed series pages.
Fortress of Dwarka: KC#6 releases next week. The Children of Midnight: MBA#3 releases in February (when the new website officially launches).
Other ebooks lined up for release include TEN KINGS: Dasarajna, The Valmiki Syndrome, KC#7 and KC#8, and more.
We are finally moving ahead full steam!
Best
Ashok
Hi Ashok,
Got the FoD and finished it also, so waiting eagerly for the next in series.
I have got a kindle reader now and feels good to read the ebooks on it as compared to a computer. When is the sword of dharma and the sequel to vortal releasing?
Regards,
Rahul
