She was born 31st August 1946. Died 1990. She’s 18 and 19 in these pictures, I’m between 1 and 2 years old. The house is my maternal grandparents’ house in Sankli Street, Byculla. The pics were taken by my foster-father Bhagwandas Luthria, screen name ‘Sudhir’. My mother and father had already separated and divorced, literally when I was born. She loved sev puri, kababs, biryani, Elvis Presley, offbeat movies, reading, dancing, Sai Baba, laughter, friends, music.
